At BioBlue, a doctor assesses your request based on your medical intake. If you've taken a BlueTest, the doctor can also take your blood values from your Health Passport into account. That way, your plan fits your situation.

Personal plan
The doctor looks at your intake and, if available, your blood values. Any treatment is prescribed in line with the patient information leaflet and current guidelines.

Coaching included
A prescription alone is not enough. Our lifestyle coaches support you throughout the entire process.
Treatments are currently only available for customers in the Netherlands. Our doctors and partner pharmacy work under Dutch regulations.

What happens if I'm not approved for a treatment?
If the doctor decides the treatment is not suitable for you, you'll be notified and receive a full refund of the amount paid for the treatment.
Is losing weight mainly a matter of willpower?
No, not only. Your weight is influenced by factors including nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, hormones and genetics. That's why we look at the whole picture and always combine any treatment with support.
Can I stop at any time?
Yes. Your treatment runs in periods of 4 weeks and you can cancel it via your account. If in doubt, consult the doctor first before you stop your treatment.
How quickly will I see results?
That differs per person and per treatment. The doctor and your coach will discuss with you what you can realistically expect and when an evaluation makes sense.
How does a treatment for overweight work?
There are various prescription medicines that can be prescribed for overweight, always in addition to changes in nutrition and exercise. Whether a medicine is right for you, which one and how to use it is something the doctor will discuss with you after your intake. Always read the patient information leaflet as well.
How do I request a treatment?
Start the intake, answer the medical questions and indicate your preference. You pay at checkout, after which a doctor assesses your request. Your treatment is only shipped after approval.
Important safety information
Treatments for overweight are prescription-only. They are only supplied if a BIG-registered doctor (Dutch medical register) assesses, after your medical intake, that the treatment is safe and suitable for you, in line with the applicable criteria such as your BMI and any weight-related conditions. A treatment is never guaranteed.
Every medicine can have side effects and is not suitable for everyone, for example with certain conditions, during pregnancy or in combination with other medicines. That's why you should always state your medical history and all medication you use in the intake. Read the patient information leaflet before use and follow the doctor's instructions.
