Frequently asked questions.
What is the difference between the programmes?
You choose: just a blood test (one-off or recurring), just personalised supplements, or the bundle: blood test + supplements. In the bundle, you start with 4 supplements based on your intake; as soon as your blood values are in, they can be adjusted. If you want to lose weight with medical guidance (Netherlands only), you start a medical intake, either on its own or combined with the bundle.
Why are the blood test and supplements combined?
Because measuring gives you insight into where you stand. Together with your intake, your blood values form the starting point for your personal supplement plan. That way you choose more precisely than with a standard multivitamin.
Does everyone get the same supplements?
No. Your supplement card is put together based on your intake and, if you have them, your blood values. One card holds up to 4 supplements.
Which blood values are tested?
The BlueTest gives insight into 35+ biomarkers (35 for men, 36 for women) across 9 health areas, including heart and blood vessels, hormones, thyroid, blood sugar, kidneys, liver, iron and your blood count. View all biomarkers.
Do I have to choose supplements myself?
You don't have to. After the intake, you'll see which supplements suit you. You can accept them or adjust them yourself. For each supplement, you can see the ingredients and warnings.
How do I receive my supplements?
Your supplements are packed per day in a strip, in the Netherlands and under the supervision of a pharmacist, and delivered to your door every 28 days.
Can my coach from Fundamentals see my blood values?
Only if you want them to. At checkout, you can tick a box to give consent to share your BlueTest results and your blood test and supplement programme with your coach or personal trainer at Fundamentals. Without that consent, your health data is not shared. We never share your medical intake or any treatments. You can withdraw your consent at any time via stijn@bioblue.nl.
Can I also lose weight with medical guidance via Fundamentals?
Yes (Netherlands only). You complete an online medical intake and a BIG-registered doctor assesses whether a treatment for excess weight is safe and suitable for you. A treatment is never guaranteed. We never share your medical intake or treatment with Fundamentals. More about weight loss.
Can I combine the blood test, supplements and weight loss?
Yes (Netherlands only). In the Weight loss tab, choose ‘All in one’. You then complete the intake for your blood test, your supplements and your medical intake in one go. The doctor can take your blood values into account in the assessment. A treatment is never guaranteed; if your request is not approved, you'll get the amount for the treatment refunded.
Can my supplement plan change?
Yes. If your situation changes, or a new test shows different values, you can adjust your supplement card.
Can I do another blood test?
Yes. You can always order a new BlueTest, or choose a subscription that automatically tests you every 4, 6 or 12 months. That way you can see how your values develop.
Can I switch programmes or cancel later?
Yes, in line with the subscription terms you see before checkout. The BioBlue Subscription packages have a minimum term.
When will I receive my test and supplements?
After you order, you'll receive the BlueTest at home, with clear instructions. Your supplements are shipped as soon as your card has been put together, and every 28 days after that.
